Agent Media and Agent's Sales Journal Partner With The American Association of Long-term Care Insurance To Open Sixth Annual Long-Term Care Insurance Market Study

Centennial, CO, May 9, 2011 — Agent Media and Agent's Sales Journal, products of Summit Business Media's Life & Health Insurance Network, have partnered once again with the American Association of Long-term Care Insurance (AALTCI) to provide the annual long-term care insurance (LTCI) study, that opens today.

The study surveys LTCI agents throughout the country, asking for their outlook on the industry, their experiences in the field, and what they need to be more successful. Complete results of the study will be featured in the July issue of Agent's Sales Journal—in print and online—and will be accompanied by expert tips on how agents can become involved in the LTCI market, sell LTCI more effectively, and find qualified prospects. In addition to the survey results, the issue will feature a complete LTCI Selling Guide.

"While the need for LTCI is one of the most universal issues in American society, the general public still doesn't seem to be getting the message, and agents need to work hard to help clients understand the value of purchasing LTCI coverage, especially when the clients are younger and rates are more affordable," said Andy Stonehouse, Editor for Agent's Sales Journal. "This year's study will help shed some light on the troubles agents face and some of the new opportunities for LTCI marketing."

"Information is one key to building a stronger and more profitable long-term care insurance market, and that is why we partner with Agent Media and Agent's Sales Journal each year to bring this study to life," said Jesse Slome, Executive Director for AALTCI. "The results of the survey will enable insurers, agencies and supporting organizations to best meet the needs of the industry in the years to come."

This is the sixth year that Agent Media and Agent's Sales Journal have partnered with the American Association of Long-term Care Insurance for the LTCI study. The AALTCI was founded in 1998, and is the national professional organization exclusively dedicated to promoting the importance of planning for long-term care needs. The group focuses on creating heightened product awareness among consumers, providing agent support, developing sales-related training and creating a forum where members can meet and share information.
